RIP MCA. Dude was a class act, an incredible musician, and enlightened fellow. In honor of the Buddhist in Adam Yauch, a Buddha Bowl for dinner:
Spinach, rice, tofu, steamed broccoli, zucchini, and mushrooms, avocado, scallions. Topped with soy sauce, sriracha, and sesame seeds.
Check in yr eternal license to ill.
I had no idea he died. Way too young! Such a shame. Great way to honor him, though.
ReplyDeleteA delicious tribute, for sure. Have you seen this one. http://youtu.be/w-QIiVS_7Hs
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love MCA. Beastie Boys shaped so much of me. Buddha bowls also shape me and I heart them very much!
ReplyDeleteWhaaa? He died!? Man.
ReplyDeleteSometimes purposely isolating myself from media/internet for long periods of time backfires and I end up out of the loop. Way out of the loop. But then I catch up. And have snazzy people like you keeping me in check. So it's all good.
Anyway, loving this Buddha bowl. I am sure he would have approved.
You didn't use frozen Broccoli for that Buddha Bowl, did you?
ReplyDeleteI heard that on NPR yesterday and was sad, but glad he is no longer suffering. The video for "Sabotage" is definitely in my top five. Cancer sucks!
ReplyDeleteNice looking meal :)
Lovely bowl; nice tribute.
ReplyDeleteMolly, definitely too young. So sad.
ReplyDeleteAndrea, yes! All of their videos are so great!
S&S, likewise.
Isobelle, I'm usually the last to know about these things...
Shen, no way! Yeurgh, frozen broccoli is the worst.
Ingrid, true. And I'm sure he was at peace.
Miss Rachel, thank you :)
